Hanami, the cherry blossom time, is beginning again in Japan, China and Taiwan.

HOW TO USE THIS BLOG

This is a personal travel report but may help others in planning travel in Japan. The most important needs are confidence and research.

The blog is not entirely in chronological order, time got away. I am trying to give 'labels' to each entry so you can track a subject. The 'labels' produce the 'subjects covered' below.

I have visited Japan before on official foreign service business, this my first time truly free to wander. I trained as an anthropologist, my partner Helen works in social policy. Our interests in life and beauty, the beauty of life in nature.
